Literature Text
We are the elusive past of our dark tomorrow, winking slowly at the possibility of today. Joy exists without ecstasy and madness - joy dwells in the vital times of our day.
But I am beyond all of this.
Stand by me, and pick the stars out of the sky, put them in your basket, for their juices will sparkle in the eyes of your kin. Adjust the moon (don't let it be crooked) - change the bulb, and help light reach the dead of this night.
I am the Smile. I am your laughter and squinted pretty words; those tears you cry when you want to be heard. I am the twinkle of dancing blue eyes, shining against the invisible blanket of black. I am the smile, your fingers intertwined in your other half, I am the zeal with which you say the words, and then I am your ears and his voice when you rejoice at the taste of his words overwhelm you.
I am Insanity. I am your cackling and deafening blows; those tears you cry for reasons you don't understand. I am the death of those dancing blue eyes, that once shone against the invisible blanket of black. I am insanity. I am the anger with which you carve those walls, the fury with which you never care who gets hurt. I am the rage with which you never speak.
Just strike.
Again. And again. And a g a i n.
I am Peace. I am your calm, deep green oceans, whose gentle arms caress the shore. I am the corners of the rising sun that kiss the horizon marking it's arrival. I am the silence filled with unsaid desires, and unspoken truths. I am the Alleviation of all your tensions - the flower blooming in your difficult day - the rest in mind when done with self battle, the quiet of your sleep after every fight's victory.
I am Tension. I am the boulders standing in your path, the countless improbabilities locking all your doors - cutting off hope like a woodcutter cuts trees.

By one.

I make you fear everything and everyone involved. I make you fear circumstance and the power of decision. I make you fear loss and intimidate you; but most of all, I make you fear y o u r s e l f.
It is so difficult right now, isn't it?
Wrestling with your contradictions.
Look closely, deeper and read between the lines.
I am Hope, the very essence of your f a i t h. I am Strength, the very element of survival. I am Patience, the sweet taste of victory. I am Forgiveness, the success in all your failures. I am the heart with which you do good, but I am also ego that stops you when you should. I am the mind with which you think big, but I am also practicality that stops you from making them true. I am Everything There Is, and Everything There Isn't; for What Isn't will always make you stronger than What Is.
I am your Humility, your good, your Purity but I am also your Despair, your Arrogance and cruelty. I am your anger, your deep rooted fears but I am also your Strength, your Love and Devotion.
I may be the ignorance of every unsaid word but I am the l o v e...
...that changed your mirror...
...into a window.

Literature
hello, love.
hello, love.
there will be days that it feels like this.
please know that you are not worthless.
please know that you are not alone.
please know that you are loved.
it gets better.
it will be okay.
that does not mean every day will be easy, but that reminds you that you are alive:
the ache in your chest is just a ghost of the miracles of your lungs, your heart, your veins, your bones, and - perhaps especially - your mind.
you are alive.
never forget that.
never lose sight of that.
never give that precious gift away.
you have a story to tell and people to love.
let that help you breathe.

love letters to introverts
i.
To the boy who prefers spending Friday nights at home:
the world does not understand how beautiful silence sounds
sometimes.
As you crack open that book you've been waiting to read,
or plug in your computer,
or listen to music,
or,
or,
or,
or maybe just stare at the night sky from your bedroom window-
(please) remember what everyone else seems to forget;
that being alone does not always equal lonely--
and that sometimes no company is the best company there is.

To the girl who does not speak up in class:
I was once you.
You are not deficient, I promise, despite everyone telling you otherwise.

For The Poet
[Personally I think it's my best poem ever. Enjoy!]
For a poet,
The beauty of the rainbow lies not in its colors,
For a poet,
Its beauty lies in the invisible dance between the breeze and light,
Which forms its shape and gives birth to its hues in misty sights.
For a poet,
The city is a jungle of wild, tall structures,
Beasts among smaller suburb rodents,
City windows: the butterflies upon a building's bark,
At night, dancing fireflies light the prairie roads.
A poet sees not the sun and moon,
But the sky's irises;
One golden, the other a silvery hue.
The ocean, for the poet, is not merely water,
But a mirror map for the sky,
